Unfortunately my UV Maps tab looks like this: There should be a setting in the Object Data Properties under UV Maps when I select one of the meshes there should be a 1.8+ option. Unfortunately though according to every video I could find, which were all outdated or didn't cover it. So anyway I'm trying to get the Rymdinisse rig to work with a 1.8+ skin, since my character has an outer coat and a few portions of hair on the outer layer.
